Our Team is lead by a very experienced Centre Director

Elana our Centre Director has over 37 years experience in Early Childhood and leads a dedicated team of professionals.

All staff at Northgate Early Childhood Centre are employed under the Child Care Industry Award, the guidelines of the Child Care Regulations, and approved by the Department of Communities, Queensland. 

The qualifications held by most of our staff exceed the minimum requirement but we feel that providing highly trained staff to all our rooms presents a great advantage to the level of developmental learning we can provide to our children.

The qualifications held by our staff are as follows:

Director  Degree or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood.

Teacher  Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood/Registered with Qld College of Teachers

GroupLeader   Associate/Diploma in Child Care and Education

Assistants  Child Care Certificate or studying this qualification

Team members

The team members have been selected because of their wide variety of qualification, experience, supportive and caring nature and professional attitude to the early childhood profession. To enhance the Centre’s quality of care, each team member is offered opportunities to attend in-service training and consult with professional bodies, in an endeavour to keep up-to-date with new developments within the early childhood profession.
